IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD DO TO BE PREPARED FOR MY SESSION?

Come to the session well hydrated, and be intentional about drinking more water than usual after our time together. A nourishing, grounding meal- whatever that looks like to you-after the session is also recommended.

I WOULD PREFER TO WORK WITH A TRANS OR BIPOC PRACTITIONER. DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?

I do! Email me and I will send a resource list your way.

HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS?

Sessions are offered at 60 or 90 min lengths- it is your choice at time of booking to decide what length of session you would prefer- and the rotating Moonthly Moon Club sessions are exclusively offered at 75 mins.

I’M RUNNING LATE!

If you anticipate not being able to make the session in time, please email me ASAP to let me know! In the event that you do run late, your session will tend on time (example: if the 60-min session is at 12 and we don’t begin until 12:10 due to being late , we will still end at 1:00.) I can’t stress enough how appreciative I am of the heads up when running behind!

I FORGOT I HAVE TO WORK TODAY AND CAN’T MAKE MY APPOINTMENT!

I ask that you give me ***at minimum*** 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. In the event that you no-show without communicating, the credit card used on file to make the appointment will be charged 100% of the session cost with the exception of emergencies.

As a small business owner offering sliding-scale rates, honoring the integrity of my policies helps sustain my practice and I wholeheartedly appreciate it.

I HAVE A COLD BUT REALLY WANT TO KEEP OUR SESSION. IS THAT COOL?

This is a freaky one: Even though it feels a lot like resting, receiving bodywork is inherently extremely circulatory and is a big wake-up call to your system! This means that if you’re fighting something off, or in the middle of a cold, an hour of massage can actually make things way worse.

If you have something booked coming up and you’re feeling under the weather, reach out and let me know and we can chat through whether or not to reschedule.

I TOLD MY NEIGHBOR/COWORKER/FRIEND ABOUT YOU! HAVE THEY BOOKED A SESSION YET?

First and foremast, thank you for recommending me! I cannot begin to say how appreciative I am. The magic of community support is not lost on me and I am honored to work on your loved ones.

With that said: I follow a strict code of conduct both as a licensed medical practitioner and also a neighborhood witch that prohibits me from sharing any information whatsoever about who I work on, both as a safety precaution and out of respect to my clients. I take client confidentiality just as seriously even when it’s your best friend, boss, parent, partner, barista, mentor, etc!

I’M HAVING TROUBLE DECIDING WHICH MODALITY TO CHOOSE FROM! DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

We can absolutely chat on the phone or via email to discuss what your goals are to create an idea of what a session could look like that is most effective for you. I do not charge for consultations.

I WOULD PREFER TO REMAIN FULLY CLOTHED OR ONLY RECEIVE TOUCH IN A FEW AREAS OF MY BODY. IS THAT OK?

Always!

I SEE THAT YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE AND AM NOT SURE HOW MUCH TO PAY!

I exclusively offer pay-what-you-can fixed sliding scale rates in acknowledgement of how inherently political bodywork is. The price you pay is your choice, and can vary each session, and with offering this structure I put full trust in the integrity and sincerity of my clients, including the willingness to pay the higher end of the range when possible to help sustain and support this work. This handy visual by Alexis J Cunnningfolk of Worts and Cunning Apothecary might be a helpful tool to aid in contextualizing and unpacking the ethics of access.

CAN I KEEP MY BINDER ON DURING OUR SESSION?

Absolutely!

DO YOU DO TRADES?

I LOVE trades! At this time I mostly offer service-for-service or custom goods trades, but it never hurts to reach out just in case. Some things I’m particularly interested in ongoing trades for: cosmetic acupuncture, microblading, custom jewelry, organic skincare/makeup, and exercise class passes.
